Environmental Studies

Graduate school is a big commitment with the hope of a big reward. The career services staff and the environmental studies faculty at the University of Evansville were both instrumental in the decision for me to attend graduate school with the goal of bettering myself both now and in the future.

Because of the hard work and dedication of the career services staff providing resources and information to their students, I was connected with the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University where I will be working towards my Masters in Environmental Science. During college, I completed a three term co-op in the environmental affairs department at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana. The career services team was right there during the graduate school and co-op search process to answer any questions I had about building my résumé and getting my graduate school applications filled out and submitted. I could not have done it without them!

In addition to the services provided by the UE career services staff, the professors in the environmental studies program worked hard to influence me to strive for my goals and always reach higher. They were always there to write an influential letter of recommendation or give valuable advice on what programs to select. Working with my professors on undergraduate research made me realize that research is something that I truly enjoy; it was an additional factor in leading me down the road to graduate school.

I want to thank both career services and the faculty at the University of Evansville for all of their knowledge, advice, and friendship over the years that I attended UE. I truly believe that they helped to make me a better candidate for not only graduate school, but also for a future career.
